In the foyer of Forum cinema on December 14 at 6:00 p.m. an exhibition of works by students from urban and rural schools who took part in a competition organized by PWiK in Bolesławiec will open.

For several centuries, water from Bolesławiec has been renowned for its excellent quality. Water drawn from our spring was believed to have miraculous properties, which prompted numerous pilgrimages to Bolesławiec (formerly Bunzlau) from Saxony and Silesia. Today, we still obtain water from our deep wells whose properties and mineral composition meet the criteria for spring water.

The company’s president, Józef Król, decided to remind the residents of the city and municipality how good our water is. To this end, he launched the “Good Water in Bolesławiec” campaign and proposed a competition with prizes for students from the rural and urban municipalities’ schools. The initiative aims to support young people’s creativity and promote the exceptional water found in the city and municipality of Bolesławiec.

More than 180 students from 17 schools and the BOK-MCC art studio took part in the competition. The teams created 53 different works in the fields of literature, photography, film, visual arts, the Internet, tourism or broadly understood promotion (advertising).

The ceremonial opening of the exhibition and presentation of prizes in the “Good Water in Bolesławiec” competition will take place as part of the Bolesławiec Star of Kindness. The competition was held under the honorary patronage of city president Piotr Roman and Bolesławiec Municipality head Andrzej Dutkowski.
