For several years, the Bolesławiec local government has cooperated with non-governmental organizations, which have become an increasingly competent partner, knowledgeable about local realities and taking on a broader range of responsibilities. The effectiveness of their work depends largely on establishing the areas, forms and clear principles of this cooperation. The Annual Cooperation Program of the Bolesławiec Urban Municipality with Non-Governmental Organizations and Entities Conducting Public-Benefit Activities is intended to serve this purpose.
Among other things, the program aims to:
- increase residents’ activity in order to meet the needs of the local community more fully;
- diagnose the non-governmental organizations operating within the Municipality;
- integrate entities conducting public-benefit activities;
- create conditions for strengthening existing non-governmental organizations and establishing new organizations and civic initiatives;
- ensure the effective performance of the Municipality’s public tasks by involving non-governmental organizations in their implementation;
- support and entrust public tasks to organizations.
By adopting the “2013 Annual Cooperation Program of the Bolesławiec Urban Municipality with Non-Governmental Organizations and Entities Conducting Public-Benefit Activities,” the Bolesławiec City Council declared its willingness to cooperate with non-governmental organizations on the principles of subsidiarity, sovereignty of the parties, effectiveness, partnership, fair competition and transparency.
The amount of planned financial resources allocated to the implementation of public tasks in 2013 is PLN 929,500.
