The project to reconstruct the Forum Cinema building includes modernizing the cinema interior and renovating the building’s façade. The cinema and office sections will be reconstructed. The cinema section will feature a new stage, screen, auditorium and projection booth. New cinema and sound equipment will be installed. The new Forum auditorium is to be multifunctional. It is to accommodate 420 people, the same as before. Retractable acoustic screens will be installed for cinema and theater use. In addition, the seats and the materials used for the floors, walls and ceiling will be replaced. Accessibility for people with disabilities has also been taken into account. A special lift and accessible sanitary facilities will be installed for them.

The office section is planned to undergo modernization of its existing finishes and replacement of the door joinery. The plumbing, central heating, ventilation and electrical systems will be replaced. Cultural and tourist information points will be established in the building’s lobby.

The renovation of Forum Cinema is scheduled to begin at the start of next year and last a year and a half. During that time, Orzeł Cinema will be opened. The cost of renovating the cinema building will amount to approximately PLN 9 million. Bolesławiec has already received funding for this purpose from the funds of the Integrated Regional Development Operational Programme. The funding from ZPORR will cover 75% of the project cost. The city will seek additional funding for this purpose.
