The inauguration of the training for the 28th rotation of the Polish Military Contingent KFOR (Kosovo Force) in Kosovo took place on 9 October. The 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment in Bolesławiec is preparing a contingent to participate in the Polish Military Contingent KFOR in Kosovo for the first time, but the vast majority of the selected soldiers have already gained experience during missions in Iraq, Afghanistan and Syria. The task of forming and preparing the 28th rotation was entrusted to Lieutenant Colonel Remigiusz Zieliński, commander of the rocket artillery squadron.

The classes for platoon and squad commanders were conducted by police officers and Border Guard personnel. Officers from the Patrol and Intervention Unit of the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters provided the soldiers with many valuable tips and pieces of information, including on the principles of forming and maneuvering in a skirmish line, while officers from the Specialist Training Centre of the Lusatian Border Guard Unit conducted training on the construction and operation of a smoothbore shotgun.
