A 27-year-old man suspected of stealing jewelry was apprehended by police in Warta Bolesławiecka. The man committed the crime while visiting his family. The thief stole jewelry belonging to his sister.
The 27-year-old sold a diamond necklace and earrings, worth a total of PLN 1,800, at one of the pawnshops in Bolesławiec for... PLN 700. He told the officers that he needed the money for alcohol.
The jewelry will be returned to its owner. The man faces up to five years in prison.
