Two residents of Bolesławiec, aged 61 and 27, fell into the hands of the police. On Friday, October 5, both men stole four shopping carts from outside one of the supermarkets. The value of the stolen property was estimated at PLN 1,000.
The perpetrators admitted their guilt. One of them explained that they intended to sell the shopping carts at a scrap-metal collection point and spend the money on alcohol. The police handed the carts—partially damaged by the thieves—over to their owner.
The 61-year-old and the 27-year-old face up to five years in prison.
