Police detained a 47-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County suspected of forging prescriptions and obtaining psychotropic medication. Officers received a report that forged prescriptions had appeared in pharmacies throughout the county—and beyond. They bore the stamps of doctors from various specialties, but the same psychotropic medication was always prescribed.
The man carried out his scheme from July to September this year. During that time, he forged at least several dozen prescriptions. At the suspect’s home, officers found both printed prescriptions and the stamp, laptop and printer he used to counterfeit them.
The suspect told police that he had bought the medication for his own use. He now faces up to five years in prison.
