The exhibition presents the seven laureates of the fifth edition of the nationwide competition organized by the Ministry of Regional Development. One of them is the Museum of Ceramics, which defeated more than 200 other projects.
The “VIA FABRILIS – a trail of craft traditions” project carried out by the Museum in 2008–2010 initiated and promoted a themed tourist route in the Polish-Czech borderland. The project was recognized as the most valuable in the cross-border and international tourism category.
The exhibition at the Bolesławiec town hall presents projects co-financed with EU funds that the competition jury considered the most interesting and having the greatest impact on changes in the image of our country. The exhibition is based on graphic and multimedia presentations and showcases initiatives that won in seven different competition categories.
The direct prize is a symbolic statuette presented by the minister during a ceremonial gala. However, this is not the only benefit enjoyed by the competition’s laureates. Their most important achievement is extensive nationwide promotion provided through the activities of the Ministry of Regional Development.
The winning projects and the institutions implementing them were the subject of a series of programs broadcast by various television and radio stations. Another avenue is their presentation in special publications—albums and brochures promoted by the ministry. The touring exhibition itself also has great promotional value, as it is assembled and made available completely free of charge in various cities across Poland.
All places awarded in the competition were also permanently marked with a commemorative plaque intended for installation in a facade. At the exhibition in the Bolesławiec town hall, visitors will be able to see up close the plaque awarded to the Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec.
The exhibition “Poland Is Beautiful – 7 Wonders of European Funds” can be viewed throughout September in the lobby of the Bolesławiec town hall, on the first floor, during the working hours of the Municipal Office.
