On 11 June, a meeting was held in Wrocław between Member of the European Parliament Lidia Geringer de Oedenberg and the people she selected as her assistants. Their task will be to run parliamentary offices in Lower Silesia. Daniel Biernat, chairman of the Federation of Young Social Democrats, was selected as the assistant responsible for the Bolesławiec County area.
"The MEP is competent, factual and very communicative. It will be a pleasure and an honour for me to work with such a well-known person," Daniel Biernat told Boleslawiec.org. The work at the office will be voluntary. Among other things, Daniel Biernat will assist with contacting the MEP, preparing petitions concerning violations of European law, civil rights, property rights and personal inviolability, and submitting complaints to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg regarding excessively lengthy court proceedings or unjust judgments.
The Social Information Office is located at 15 Opitza Street in Bolesławiec. It is open on Thursdays from 12:00 to 14:00. Telephone: (0-75) 732 30 60.
