The competition is intended for people aged 17 to 19. The task is to prepare a family tree project covering three or four generations. For example, it may include the competition participant, their parents, grandparents and, possibly, great-grandparents. The family tree should be presented as a poster in A2 or A1 format.
The poster should include the first and last names of the people, their degrees of kinship to the poster’s author, their dates of birth and, where applicable, death, as well as their places of birth.
A brief account of the participant’s family history and migration is required. In particular, the work should explain where the families described in the family tree came to Bolesławiec from after the end of World War II. The work should include a map showing the migration route. Photographs of individual family members are welcome.
Entries should be submitted by 10 June at the offices of the Education, Culture, Physical Culture and Sport Department of the Bolesławiec District Office. The department is located in the high-rise building, on the 7th floor, in room 708. The competition results will be announced by 15 June.
All questions concerning the competition should be directed to employees of the EKS Department: Alicja Krzyszczak (tel. 7351878) or Dariusz Kwaśniewski (tel. 7351877).
