During a night patrol of the streets of Bolesławiec, police officers noticed a man riding a moped on the pavement. The rider failed to comply with the officers’ commands and signals to stop the vehicle for a roadside inspection. After a short pursuit, officers detained the 21-year-old. The young man did not have any documents on him and was behaving nervously. During the proceedings involving the detained resident of Bolesławiec municipality, police officers found 23 grams of hashish and an electronic scale. The man was taken into police custody. The officers are now establishing all the circumstances of the case, including where the drugs came from and where they were intended to go.

Possession of drugs is punishable by up to 3 years in prison, and when the subject of the offence is a significant quantity, by up to 8 years’ imprisonment.
