On Friday, August 3, before 5:00 p.m., the Bolesławiec police received a report that a man was sitting on the Millennium Cross. The desperate man mobilized the police, fire service and emergency medical services. A police negotiator was called. Fortunately, before the negotiator arrived, the 49-year-old resident of Bolesławiec came down to the ground on his own. A police officer persuaded him to come down. The man was taken for psychiatric evaluation.
In April last year, a man also climbed onto the Millennium Cross. That time, too, the desperate man was successfully persuaded to come down.
