On Tuesday, June 13, at approximately 4:40 p.m., emergency services received a report that someone had climbed onto a railway viaduct. Police and the fire service arrived at the scene. Police officers entered the structure and walked toward the man. At that time, a train was traveling along the viaduct tracks. The driver passed the officers and the man very slowly.
While the officers were talking to the man, firefighters set up an inflatable rescue cushion by the viaduct. Fortunately, everything ended well. The man was brought down from the viaduct and handed over to paramedics.

Police officers intervened with a young man who was in crisis. (...) The officers began negotiations and approached closely enough to take hold of him. The man was later handed over to medical services.

In the afternoon, uniformed officers from Bolesławiec received information that a person was on a railway viaduct. Knowing that every minute counts in such situations, a police patrol promptly went to the scene. On the viaduct, the officers saw a young man standing on the outside of the railing. Rail traffic was halted, and the officers began negotiations.
The cooperation of the patrol officers and their continued conversation with the person in crisis enabled the officers to bring about a situation in which the man involved in the intervention returned to the safe side of the railing.
The resident of Bolesławiec County was placed in the care of medical services.
