Posters in German were put up overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday. One of them read: "We warmly welcome you to the European Union. Our justice system is already working urgently, because murder does not become time-barred."
The posters also displayed documents purportedly concerning atrocities committed by Poles and Czechs against Germans. These included official documents from 1945 concerning the resettlement of Germans and its conditions.
Those detained were a 26-year-old man and two 22-year-old German citizens. They were detained in Bolesławiec. In their car, police officers found the same posters that had been put up around the city.
In May this year, similar anti-Polish posters appeared in Jelenia Góra, Karpacz, Szklarska Poręba, Cieplice and Podgórzyn. The posters’ authors accused Poles of crimes against Germans and threatened them with liability before German courts. The perpetrators were not apprehended at that time.
