The body was found on Friday, July 27, at one of the gravel pits in the village of Krępnica (police received the report at 11:40 a.m.). The middle-aged man—presumably homeless—was lying near the shore.
The District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec is handling the case. Investigators initially ruled out the involvement of third parties. The death probably occurred from natural causes.
