The arrests took place on 25 July this year. Four employees of a construction company who had been stealing from their employer were detained by officers. All four worked in one of the towns in Świdnica County. After finishing their workday, the suspects jointly stole construction materials. The thieves took granite slabs, paving stones and kerbstones.
The perpetrators, aged between 24 and 32, committed seven thefts. All of them had previous convictions, including for similar offences. Moreover, one of the suspects admitted to violating a ban on driving motor vehicles three times and fleeing the scenes of two collisions. The entire group now faces up to five years in prison.
The losses were estimated at approximately PLN 4,000. Officers recovered some of the stolen property. The investigation is ongoing.
