The incident took place during the night of June 29–30. The police duty officer received a report that two men had driven onto the grounds of a property in the Warta Bolesławiecka municipality, forcibly pulled a 52-year-old man into a vehicle and then driven away in an unknown direction.
Officers detained the kidnappers, who turned out to be two residents of Warta Bolesławiecka, aged 19 and 41. The men kidnapped the 52-year-old in order to recover a wallet with money that had previously been stolen.
The kidnapped man was released. Officers determined that he was not the person responsible for stealing the wallet. The kidnappers face up to five years in prison.
