The Nationwide Boys’ Basketball Tournament took place from 15 to 17 June in Kościan. Eight teams, including StarBol Bolesławiec, took part in the competition. In their first match, our basketball players demolished WKS Śląsk Wrocław 97:36, and then defeated, in succession: Rawia Rawicz, Jedynka Kościan, Polonia Leszno and, in the final, UKS Osieczna.
In the individual classification, Mateusz Giergielewicz was selected for the tournament’s best team, Wojciech Mocny was named the best player on the team, and Maciej Leszczyński, who scored 188 points, was the tournament’s top scorer.
The core of the team consisted of students from MZS No. 2 in Bolesławiec. StarBol played in the following lineup: Nikodem Borecki,Wiktor Kawecki, Maciej Leszczyński, Michał Dołgan, Wojciech Mocny, Mateusz Giergielewicz, Jacek Przystarz, Krzysztof Kamiński, Dawid Strojek and Jacek Myjkowski.
