On Sunday, June 10, many fans of good music and entertainment gathered on the sports field in Bolesławice. Folklore enthusiasts had no reason to complain. The following performers appeared on stage: Folklore Ensemble from Ocice, the Zagajnik-Wykroty group, Nasza Biesiada from Osiecznica, Gminny Zespół Pieśni i Tańca Jutrzenka and Zespoł Pieśni i Tańca Ziemi Bolesławieckiej.
Children from the vocal workshop run by Agnieszka Orawiec also performed that day, along with singer Agnieszka Miszkiewicz. The evening's featured act was Zorba, a band performing Greek music. There were also competitions. The cock-catching contest attracted considerable interest.
For years, events commemorating the return of large groups of Polish people to their homeland have been held in Bolesławiec County. Many residents of our county still cultivate the customs, rituals and culinary traditions of those regions. South Slavic songs are still remembered and sung. For this reason, Balkan-themed events in Bolesławiec and the surrounding municipalities continue to enjoy undiminished popularity.
The event was organised by the Municipal Culture and Sports Centre in Bolesławiec, based in Kruszyn, together with the Village Council and Parish Council in Bolesławice.
