On Friday evening, Krakowski Teatr Uliczny „Scena Kalejdoskop” presented the performance “Circo Amaro” in Bolesławiec’s Market Square. The actors told the story of a samurai torn away from Japanese reality.

On Saturday, meanwhile, the courtyard by Zamkowy Square hosted the concert “Pearls of Classical Music”, performed by the Wrocław string quartet Konsonans (comprising: Radosław Bruliński – first violin, Tomasz Kolbuszowski – second violin, Waldemar Goliński – viola, and Bożena Papała – cello). The event was hosted by Sławomir Kozłowski, a popularizer of classical music professionally associated with Filharmonia Zielonogórska. During the concert, works by W.A. Mozart, A. Dvořák and A. Vivaldi, among others, were performed.

As part of the “Classics in the Courtyard” series of outdoor events, intended to bring classical music closer to residents of the revitalized area, the following events will still take place:

  • 15 June, 6:00 p.m., Market Square – a treat for all children! Zdrojowy Teatr Animacji will present a performance, featuring poems by Jan Brzechwa, including “Entliczek-Pentliczek”, “Kłamczucha”, “Samochwała” and “Kaczka-Dziwaczka”
  • 16 June, 7:00 p.m., courtyard by Sierpnia '80 Street (stairwells 4/6, 7/9 and 10/11) – a percussion quartet with the programme “The Enchanted World of Rhythm”. This will be one of the most spectacular chamber music concerts. Interestingly, Bolesławiec residents will have a unique opportunity to get to know percussion instruments: both familiar ones and entirely unknown ones
  • 22 June, 7:00 p.m., courtyard by Sierpnia '80 Street (stairwells 30/32, 36 and 37) – a piano trio will present the programme “From the Romantic Era to Film Music”. The concert will open with an outstanding work by Piotr Czajkowski. Melodies from films such as “Schindler’s List”, “Love Story”, “Scent of a Woman” and “Titanic” will also be heard
  • 29 June, 10:00 p.m., Market Square – the highly spectacular outdoor performance “Fin Amor”. It will feature fire, stilt walkers and dynamic music. Together, these elements will create an extraordinary image telling a story of love
  • 6 July, 7:00 p.m., Market Square – a concert by Filharmonia Zielonogórska with soloists. We will hear the finest arias and hits from musical theatres and operettas
  • 7 July, 9:00 p.m., Market Square – Boska Komedia “Ghosts and Rock ’n’ Roll”, or The World on Its Head in Malinów – a satirical musical spectacle. The action will take place in a backward village, where a mysterious newcomer will appear.
