30 and 31 March 2012 saw 190 people report to the registration point located at the Zespół Szkół Ogólnokształcących i Zawodowych in Bolesławiec! In addition, volunteers, together with the DKMS Foundation, raised over PLN 2,500 for bone marrow testing. On this occasion, the organizers of the Bone Marrow Drive would like to extend their warm thanks to everyone involved. We therefore thank all volunteers for their time, support and help in organizing the drive. We thank the local authorities, and above all Mr Cezary Przybylski – Starosta Bolesławiecki, for granting the Bone Marrow Drive honorary patronage and promoting the initiative on the official Powiat Bolesławiecki portal.
We extend our thanks to the doctors – Ms Janina Piestrak-Babijczuk and Mr Krzysztof Chojnacki – and to the nursing team for their dedication, patience, professionalism and gentleness. Special thanks go to Ms and Mr Elżbieta Orczyk and Andrzej Papacz from the Transplantacja Dar Życia Foundation; Ms and Mr Maria Homan, Małgorzata Dekiert-Adamska and Michał Filimon from the Anna Wierska Drużyna Szpiku Foundation; Ms Izabela Baner-Ludwikowska from the Cord Blood Bank; and the women from the Amazons’ Club for the lectures delivered as part of the Bone Marrow Drive.
