Officers from Bolesławiec, Nowogrodziec and Kruszyn took part in nationwide operations to locate wanted people. Over the course of two days, they detained a total of 11 people who were wanted by law enforcement authorities or the justice system.
Only one of the detained people was not a resident of Bolesławiec County.
The wanted individuals also included two people whose whereabouts were to be established at the request of prosecutors. These were the District Prosecutor’s Office in Ostrów Wielkopolski and the District Prosecutor’s Office for Wrocław-Krzyki Zachód.
Longest sentence: one year in prison
In the hands of officers from Nowogrodziec was, among others, a 19-year-old convicted of burglary and sentenced to one year in prison. This was the longest sentence among all those detained in the operation.
A 32-year-old resident of Nowogrodziec municipality was also detained. For violating a court ban, he will spend eight months in prison.
Another man was wanted by the District Court in Żagań. He must serve six months in prison for driving a car while intoxicated.
Police remind people of the consequences
The two-day operation was part of a nationwide campaign focused on detaining wanted people.
As police officers emphasize, people hiding from the justice system must expect to be detained and face the consequences arising from court rulings.
