During the March session of the City Council, councillors from the Forum club submitted a resolution. The document reads:
Councillors of the Bolesławiec City Council protest against the refusal by the Lux Veritatis Foundation – the owner of Telewizja Trwam – to extend the licence for distributing the television programme terrestrially in digital form, through an incomprehensible decision by the National Broadcasting Council discriminating against city residents, a significant proportion of whom are TV TRWAM viewers.
By intervening in this matter, the councillors of the Bolesławiec City Council expect Telewizja Trwam to be granted its rightful place on the so-called multiplex. A positive decision in this matter will reflect the Polish traditions of freedom, pluralism and democracy in our Homeland.
By adopting this resolution, the councillors of the Bolesławiec City Council likewise support the voice of other local governments in Poland, including the city councils of Lublin, Białystok, Sopot, Nowy Targ and Zakopane, as well as many organisations, institutions and social and local-government communities. Bearing in mind the welfare of the society of Bolesławiec and the citizens of our Homeland, and refusing to accept restrictions on the possibility of free access to Catholic media, we express our disapproval of the overt discrimination also against the residents of Bolesławiec in their ability to receive TV TRWAM.
The resolution was signed by 17 councillors.
