At the next City Council session, which will be held on Wednesday, 28 March, councillors will vote on a draft resolution “on amending Resolution No. IV/13/10 of the Bolesławiec City Council of 29 December 2010 on appointing additional representatives to the Assembly of the »Bóbr« Intermunicipal Association”. If this legal act enters into force, Iwona Mandżuk-Dudek, deputy mayor of Bolesławiec, will replace Wiesław Ogrodnik, who resigned from serving on the “Bóbr” IMA. The representatives of the Urban Commune in the “Bóbr” will remain: Jan Jasiukiewicz, deputy chair of the City Council, and Jarosław Kowalski, head of the Forum councillors’ group.

The “Bóbr” Intermunicipal Association, which consists of the Bolesławiec municipal authorities and the Bolesławiec Rural Commune, was established in 2008. Its purpose is to perform public tasks concerning, among other things: water supply and provision, sewerage, wastewater removal and treatment, protection of underground and surface waters, water-resource management and environmental protection.
