The PZLA Grand Prix – Żagań Cross Country event is now behind us. Four hundred competitors took part, including athletes from MKS Bolesłavia. Silver medals were won by: Tobiasz Burzyński (in the 1,500 m race) and Wojciech Karaban (over 3 km).
Bartosz Wróbel, last year’s Polish championship medalist in steeplechase, finished fourth in the 4 km junior race. Among the girls, the best performance came from Dominika Kamińska, who took fifth place in the junior girls’ category (Bartosz and Dominika are coached by Małgorzata Markowska).
Bolesłavia confirmed that it is an excellent training centre for children and young people in cross-country running as well. The club also earned four points in the children’s and youth competition system operated by the Ministry of Sport and Tourism.
