The attack took place on February 28 in Świętoszów. Around noon, an employee of a courier company was attacked with a knife in one of the apartments.

From the outset, investigators suspected that the robbery had been committed by someone from outside Osiecznica Municipality. It turned out that a 23-year-old resident of Lubań County had rented an apartment in Świętoszów for precisely this purpose, using someone else’s identity document. When the courier arrived with the ordered goods, the man wounded him with a knife, stole three laptops and money, and then fled. The losses were estimated at more than PLN 22,000.

The knifeman was arrested. Police recovered the stolen notebooks and money. The 23-year-old was remanded in custody for three months. He faces up to 12 years in prison.
