Czechs from the Lacek sports taekwondo club in Pelhřimov visited our city. The club has been a leading force in the Czech Championships and the Czech Taekwondo League for years. Our southern neighbors trained with competitors from UKS Ilyo Bolesławiec for four days and also took part in consultations and sparring sessions ahead of the upcoming German Open tournament in Hamburg.
The guests also had the opportunity to tour our city and relax at the Bolesławiec Orka Aquatic Park.
Taekwondo athletes from Wrocław, Bogatynia and Zgorzelec also took part in the training sessions. The group trained for nearly six hours a day in the gymnasium of Primary School No. 4. On the final day of their visit, the Czechs received commemorative gifts from the county authorities and Bolesławiec City Hall.
The event is part of this year's celebrations marking twenty years of Olympic taekwondo in Bolesławiec.
