The reconstruction of the Osieczów-Dobra municipal road, submitted by Osiecznica Municipality, is among nine investments that passed the first stage of selection conducted by the voivodeship authorities. The project has a chance of receiving funding from European Union funds.

Two criteria determined the selection of the proposal: the urgency of the investment and its importance for the region’s balanced development. The location of the planned roads proved crucial. Since the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways is currently carrying out investments mainly in the northern part of the voivodeship, the marshal’s office decided to fund improved road connections in the southern part of the region, “below” the A4 motorway and the A18 road. The selected proposals include roads in Jelenia Góra, Karpacz, Wałbrzych, Bielawa, Świdnica, Zgorzelec, Ząbkowice Śląskie, Wleń and Osiecznica.

The next stage in efforts to obtain European Union funding will be to invite the nine selected project applicants to submit formal funding applications containing the complete documentation for each investment.
