According to the police's preliminary findings, Thursday's accident was caused by driving too fast on a wet road. One of the vehicles probably clipped the other.

The truck carrying sand left the road, knocked down a tree and ended up in a ditch. It missed hitting a roadside bar by just a few metres. Firefighters had to cut the fallen tree into pieces so that it would not block the road. The route to Wrocław was blocked for more than an hour.
