The camp began on January 19. – The young firefighters went skiing and snowboarding, and also visited, among other places, the Wang Church – said Damian Tomiak, head of the Youth Fire Brigade Team operating at the Volunteer Fire Department in Osiecznica. – Karpacz is a beautiful place, practically ideal for winter sports.
– One day, we wanted to reach Śnieżka – Damian continues. – But we got only as far as the Samotnia mountain shelter. The third avalanche danger level was announced at that time. I did not want to take the risk.
There was also time for playing in the snow and cooking together. – I am very glad that this camp took place – the head of the Youth Fire Brigade Team emphasizes. – Trips of this kind have a positive impact on young people and develop their skills. They teach camaraderie, helpfulness and honesty. This year’s winter camp left unforgettable impressions.
