The young people from I Liceum Ogólnokształcące demonstrated the greatest skills in saving lives. The second-place team was also a representation of I LO, while the young people from Bolesławiec’s second secondary school came third.
The competition assessed theoretical and practical knowledge. The four-person teams had to demonstrate their skills in rescuing people injured in road accidents, burn victims and people injured as a result of falling from a great height. The three best teams received cups and prizes. In addition, the winning team from the first secondary school will compete in the Regional First Aid Championships, which will be held in Wrocław on 28 May.
In addition to school teams from Bolesławiec, teams from the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association, the Primary School in Parowa, the Public Middle School in Nowogard and guests from Bautzen, Germany, also competed for the first aid championship title.
During the championships, residents of Bolesławiec could also receive free medical advice and have their blood pressure and blood sugar levels measured.
