Both robberies took place on Wednesday, December 7. At around 4:00 p.m., a 21-year-old resident of Osiecznica Municipality got into a taxi standing near the Bolesławiec PKS bus station. He told the taxi driver that he wanted to go to Dobra (Bolesławiec Rural Municipality). When the two men reached their destination, the passenger pulled out a sharp instrument. A struggle broke out, as a result of which the taxi driver suffered a minor hand injury. The attacker fled, and the injured man notified the police.

That same day, the police duty officer received a report of another robbery. The 21-year-old threatened a 38-year-old resident of Osiecznica Municipality with a sharp instrument after she agreed to give him a lift. The aggressor forced the woman to stop and then drove away in her car. The victim’s handbag, documents and mobile phone were left in the vehicle.

The 21-year-old and a 20-year-old resident of Osiecznica Municipality dismantled parts from the stolen car and then set it on fire.

Both suspects were taken into police custody. The older of the two faces up to 12 years in prison.
