At around 11:00 a.m., two schoolgirls noticed a little boy on the cornice of one of the buildings on Kutuzowa Street. The three-year-old was at the height of the third floor. Municipal police officers who happened to be nearby immediately went to the apartment to pull the boy inside.
Unfortunately, the child slipped during this time. An ambulance arrived at the scene shortly afterward. The child died in hospital during resuscitation efforts.
Preliminary findings indicate that the mother and two other children were at home. The boy took advantage of the fact that his mother was asleep and climbed onto the windowsill, and then onto the cornice. For now, it is too early to speak of negligence. The district police commander and a prosecutor were at the scene.
