During the Open Meeting of Photography Enthusiasts, held on November 5 at the Museum of Ceramics, the results of the “Bolesławiec Yesterday and Today” photography competition were announced. The jury (comprising: Janusz Moniatowicz, Jerzy Paluszczyszyn, Edward Miżdal and Agata Kozioł) assessed photographs in two categories – amateurs and professionals. In the first category, the jury decided to award 5 equal prizes. They went to: Katarzyna Szewczyk, Maciej Czochara, Joanna Turczyńska, Eliza Makiej and Lidia Muszyńska. In the professional category, only one prize was awarded. It went to Rafał Klimek. The prizes were funded by the Bolesławiec City Hall and the Bolesławiec Association of Collectors and Enthusiasts of the City’s History.

The next event during the Open Meeting of Photography Enthusiasts was a lecture by Andrzej Pytliński entitled “Contemporary Problems of Artistic Handicraft in Photography”. Participants in the presentation could, among other things, see the process of creating a photograph on a plastic plate.

The OSMF was one of the events marking the 30th anniversary of the Bolesławiec Photographic Society and the 40th anniversary of the organized photography movement in Bolesławiec. The project is financed from the budget of the City of Bolesławiec.
