All Club training sessions have been suspended, and members are not allowed to enter the sports hall of the Zespół Szkół Elektronicznych on Bielska Street. The locks on the doors have been changed.
“I spoke about this matter today with Deputy Starosta Cezary Przybylski. He said that the director is to decide on the hall’s availability” — says Robert Tomczyk, president of TOP. Meanwhile, the director passes the responsibility back, replying that he is waiting for a letter from the deputy starosta. ZSE head Andrzej Rudziński explains that the starostwo does not finance the provision of the hall.
The availability of the facility is important because the table tennis players cannot afford to interrupt their training. The Ekstraklasa season begins as early as September, followed by the fourth and third leagues. The young players train intensively; some travel specifically for training from as far as 30 kilometres away.
Klub Tenisa Stołowego TOP Bolesławiec has trained on Bielska Street for more than five years. The hall is adapted to the needs of people with disabilities, who are also members of the Club.
