At the initiative of commune head Waldemar Nalazek, a cervical cancer prevention programme will begin in Osiecznica. “We are the first municipality in the county to launch a vaccination programme against the HPV virus,” says Agnieszka Broszko from the Commune Office. “This year, approximately 50 girls from the first grades of lower secondary school will be vaccinated.”
On Thursday, 3 November, educational meetings with doctors, representatives of the commune authorities and the pharmaceutical company supplying the vaccines will be held at the School Complex in Osiecznica and the School Complex in Świętoszów. The first meeting will begin at 4:00 p.m., and the second – at 5:30 p.m..
