On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the Wrocław Baroque Orchestra, a concert will be held at Forum cinema. The orchestra, conducted by Jarosław Thiel, will perform Symphony No. 1 in C major, Op. 21, and Symphony No. 5 in C minor, Op. 67, by Ludwig van Beethoven.
The Wrocław Baroque Orchestra is the only philharmonic ensemble in Poland that performs on historical instruments. The orchestra’s repertoire ranges from works of the early Baroque to the early Romantic period, from chamber compositions to great oratorios. The orchestra quickly attained an artistic level recognized by music critics. Its musicians work with the greatest stars of the international early-music scene, including Jaap ter Linden, Olga Pasiecznik, Barbara Maria Willi and Metropolitan Opera star Aleksandra Kurzak. In 2011, the Wrocław Baroque Orchestra won the prestigious Fryderyk award in the category: Phonographic Debut of the Year.
The concert will take place on November 4 at 5:00 p.m. in the Forum BOK-MCC auditorium. Tickets can be reserved on the cinema’s website.
We have two pairs of invitations for our readers.
