On Thursday, October 22, students from Władysław Broniewski Secondary School in Bolesławiec responded to a request from the Municipal Communal Services Department. Under the supervision of their teacher Piotr Rydz the students joined the campaign to clean up neglected graves at the Municipal Cemetery.
Six final-year students from class 4f took part in the work: Olimpia Szpila, Kalina Jankowska, Zuzanna Broda, Zuzanna Mazur, Julia Grabarz and Wiktoria Stoncel. The high school students took care of a large section of the cemetery—they cleaned up around 20 abandoned graves and removed around 40 bags of leaves and waste.
This is a beautiful example of why it is worth getting involved in local community affairs. A big round of applause for the final-year students—they showed that leadership starts at the top.
