The incident occurred on September 29, before 7:00 a.m. As a Reader informed us:
Fire service intervention outside Ibis.
After the emergency services arrived, it turned out that a guest in one of the rooms was preparing a meal on a hot plate. The detector detected smoke produced during cooking. The alarm proved to be false.
There was no fire, and there was no danger to the other people staying at the hotel.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
