Update
As reported by the Bolesławiec police, the driver of a BMW, a 19-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County, lost control of the vehicle on a bend in the road due to wild animals entering the roadway. A female passenger was taken to hospital.
The incident was classified as an accident.
The road incident occurred on Monday, October 12, 2026, on the county road between Krzyżowa and Gromadka. The passenger car left the roadway and overturned onto its side. Five people were traveling in the vehicle.

As reported by firefighters from OSP Krzyżowa, the call was received at 5:37 p.m. The unit arrived at the scene within five minutes of being dispatched. The firefighters secured the scene and provided qualified first aid to the injured person.
The operation involved units from OSP KSRG Krzyżowa, JRG Bolesławiec and OSP KSRG Gromadka, as well as an emergency medical team and the police.
Three Interventions in One Day
The road incident was the third intervention by firefighters from OSP Krzyżowa that day.
They received their first call at 10:33 a.m. A shed used for agricultural purposes caught fire in Dąbrowa Bolesławiecka. Units from JRG Bolesławiec, OSP KSRG Krzyżowa and OSP KSRG Trzebień, as well as the police, took part in the operation.
The next call was received at 4:01 p.m. and concerned a car fire at kilometer 70 of the A18 motorway. After arriving at the scene, however, firefighters determined that the vehicle had suffered a cooling-system failure.
