Police officers from the Kruszyn police station arrested a 20-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County. The man must serve a sentence of 1 year and 4 months in prison for violating a court-imposed driving ban. However, this is not the end of his legal troubles.

He had never held a driving licence, yet he got behind the wheel

The 20-year-old, who was wanted by the District Court in Bolesławiec, had never held a driving licence. He did, however, have a lifetime court-imposed driving ban, which did not stop him from getting behind the wheel.

Fuel thefts and registration plates from another car

During the activities following the arrest, police determined that recently the 20-year-old had allegedly stolen fuel twice at different petrol stations.

In both cases, he was driving a car displaying registration plates assigned to another vehicle.

The man will face charges for another violation of the court-imposed driving ban, fuel thefts and using registration plates not assigned to the car he was driving.

16 months in prison

The 20-year-old has already been taken to prison, where he will serve a sentence of 1 year and 4 months. At the same time, proceedings are under way concerning further offences he allegedly committed.

This means that, in addition to serving the sentence already imposed, the man must also reckon with legal consequences connected with the remaining cases.
