On Thursday, October 1, at around 5 p.m., armed officers appeared near the apartment blocks at number 129 in Szczytnica near Bolesławiec. A reader informed us about the incident.
According to his account, his sister-in-law wanted to leave the house, but encountered officers at the scene who told her to go back inside. We have no independent confirmation of this instruction or information on whether similar messages were given to other residents.
The editorial team has a recording showing armed counterterrorists wearing helmets and carrying rifles. There are also masked officers wearing tactical vests and balaclavas. The video itself does not make it possible to establish the reason for or outcome of the operation.
We sent inquiries to the Provincial Police Headquarters, asking for an explanation of the officers’ presence in Szczytnica. By the time of publication, the spokesperson had not responded.
