The car was damaged in Lubań. After receiving the report, criminal investigators began efforts to identify the person responsible for destroying the vehicle.
According to the officers’ findings, the 21-year-old took a passenger car belonging to an acquaintance and then informed her that the vehicle had been parked on one of Lubań’s streets.
When the woman arrived at the location, it turned out that the Toyota Auris had been damaged. Among other things, the car had a damaged window, a broken exterior mirror and damaged upholstery elements.
The vehicle had been rented from a car rental company. The owner estimated the value of the losses at more than PLN 11,000.
The police established who might be responsible for damaging the car. The 21-year-old was detained at his place of residence.
Drugs found during the search
During a search of one of the rooms used by the man, officers found a zip-lock bag containing dried plant material. A drug test showed that it was marijuana. According to the police, the seized substance could have yielded approximately six doses of the drug.
The 21-year-old was charged with possession of narcotic substances and destruction of property. He faces up to five years in prison for the alleged offenses.
