Within two days, four people possessing drugs were detained by officers in Bolesławiec. In two cases, it was methamphetamine; in the others, marijuana.
One of those arrested was a 42-year-old man. Police found a jar containing an illegal substance on him. The man claimed that it contained only medication. However, an examination carried out by a forensic technician showed that the jar contained methamphetamine.
Another case involved a 39-year-old resident of the Warta Bolesławiecka municipality. The man was stopped for inspection while riding a bicycle. In his trouser pocket, he had a ziplock bag containing a white, crystalline substance. The examination confirmed that it was methamphetamine.
Police also arrested a 31-year-old resident of Bolesławiec. When he saw the police car, the man attempted to flee. Officers quickly determined the reason for his behavior: he had marijuana on him.
The fourth person arrested was an 18-year-old resident of Zgorzelec County. Police found several portions of marijuana on him.
All four people were arrested. Possession of narcotic substances is punishable by up to 3 years in prison.
