Officers from the Police Station in Nowogrodziec noticed the unusual way in which a woman was driving a car. They therefore attempted to stop the vehicle.
However, the woman failed to obey the orders issued by the police officers and began to flee. The officers pursued her.
The chase ended in a wooded area. The 49-year-old was arrested.
It turned out that the resident of Bolesławiec County was driving while intoxicated. The test showed 1.4 promille of alcohol in her system.
That was not the end of the matter. The woman also had a lifetime ban on driving any motor vehicles.
After sobering up, the 49-year-old was brought to court by officers from the Police Station in Kruszyn. The case was heard under expedited proceedings.
The court found the woman guilty of the offenses committed. It sentenced her to eight months of unconditional imprisonment.
Additionally, the 49-year-old was ordered to pay PLN 10,000 to the Fund for the Assistance of Victims and Post-Penitentiary Assistance.
