In Bolesławiec, another piece of infrastructure for people using the city’s cycle routes will be built. Bolesławiec City Hall has signed a contract for construction works as part of the “Development of the Cycle Road Network in the Bolesławiec City Area” project.
The MOR will be located beside the cycle path in the area of al. Tysiąclecia. As the Bolesławiec municipal authorities emphasize, there is currently no infrastructure along this section of the route that would allow cyclists to make a comfortable stop.
The new area will cover 10 × 9 metres. It will be built on a surface made of grey, rectangular concrete paving blocks.
The project includes a wooden recreational shelter, a bench-table, a bicycle rack, a bench, an information board and a litter bin. The space is intended both for a short break during a ride and for a longer rest.
The MOR will serve not only as a place to rest. Cyclists will be able to take shelter from adverse weather conditions, eat a meal, check information about the area and its attractions, as well as study a map and plan the rest of their route.
The investment will be carried out by ORION WOODS from Tomaszów Bolesławiecki. The value of the signed contract is PLN 78,500, and the project will be financed from the budget of the City of Bolesławiec.
The deadline for completing the project has been set for 9 November 2026.
