The patrol noticed a car whose driver was traveling much too fast for a built-up area. The officers used flashing lights and audible signals, ordering the driver to stop the vehicle. However, he ignored the order and began to flee.

The officers set off after him. During the escape, the 23-year-old committed further offenses, and the pursuit ended only when the car drove onto wasteland. The officers immediately ran up to the vehicle and detained the driver.

As it turned out, there were more reasons to avoid the inspection. After checking the man's details in police systems, the officers established that he was subject to a court-imposed ban on driving any motor vehicles.

Moreover, the 23-year-old had also received two decisions revoking his driving privileges.

That was not the end of the matter. A drug test confirmed the officers' suspicions—the man had been driving under the influence of an intoxicating substance.

The officers also established that the car driven by the 23-year-old had license plates assigned to another vehicle. The police are clarifying the circumstances of the case.

The 23-year-old will be held accountable for failing to stop for inspection and for the offenses committed during the escape. He will also face charges related to violating the court-imposed driving ban and driving under the influence of an intoxicating substance. For failing to stop for inspection and fleeing, the driver may face up to 5 years in prison.
