Police officers from the Kruszyn Police Station detained a 17-year-old resident of Bolesławiec County. The detention took place during a domestic intervention.
During the proceedings, officers found several portions of marijuana on the teenager. The seized substance was submitted for further examination.
The 17-year-old was charged with possession of narcotic drugs. The relevant authorities will decide on further proceedings in the case.
As reported by the Bolesławiec County Police Headquarters, possession of narcotic drugs, in accordance with the provisions of the Act on Counteracting Drug Addiction, is punishable by up to 3 years’ imprisonment.
Police remind the public that possessing drugs is a crime and that criminal liability for such conduct may also apply to young people.
