The District Prosecutor’s Office in Złotoryja has filed a motion with the District Court in Bolesławiec for a conviction without a trial against 35-year-old Adrian W., suspected of persistently stalking two women. One of the victims is from Chojnów, and the other from Jelenia Góra.
According to investigators’ findings, the man allegedly used photos of the women that they had published online for several years. He then impersonated the victims and created new accounts on social media and messaging services.
Fake Profiles and Offensive Content
W. allegedly used the women’s personal data or other information, while publishing their photos on the profiles he created. Through those profiles, he posted offensive and defamatory content. Some of the published material was allegedly s***ual in nature.
The man also allegedly offered, on the women’s behalf, to arrange intimate relationships and proposed selling their erotic photos and videos.
According to the prosecutor’s office, these actions caused the victims a justified sense of danger and humiliation, and deeply violated their privacy.
He stalked one of the women for more than two years
In the case of the first victim, the stalking allegedly lasted from 2023 until September 2025. During that time, Adrian W. allegedly created 13 accounts on Instagram and Facebook and used the Messenger service.
But he did not stop there. Using photos of the woman from her profile, he allegedly also created 11 fake accounts on Fotka.pl using her details.
In the case of the second victim, a resident of Jelenia Góra, the stalking allegedly continued for about a year—until April 2026. In this case, the accused allegedly created 10 accounts on Instagram and Facebook, through which he passed on false information about the woman’s life.
The Women Set a Trap for Him
The victims themselves helped establish the man’s identity. In 2025, several women who had encountered similar activity online contacted one another.
They decided to find out who was behind the fake profiles. One of the women asked an acquaintance to contact the person running a fake account and express interest in buying additional photos, different from those already presented online.
In response, the accused allegedly provided a phone number to which money was to be sent via BLIK. After some time, a similar attempt was made using another person’s account. The same phone number was provided again.
Through her acquaintances, one of the women established who the number belonged to. Among other things, investigators allegedly used this information to identify Adrian W.
The 35-year-old admitted to the charges
Questioned as a suspect, Adrian W. admitted committing the acts of which he was accused. He also decided to voluntarily submit to punishment.
The prosecutor’s office said that the man claimed he had not wanted to hurt the women and had treated his actions as a joke. However, he admitted that his behavior had consequences different from those he had expected. He allegedly regretted his actions and assured authorities that he had stopped his online activity.
10 months in prison, suspended
The prosecutor’s office agreed with the accused on a sentence of 8 months’ imprisonment for conduct involving each of the victims. The aggregate sentence would be 10 months’ imprisonment.
Under the motion, enforcement of the sentence would be conditionally suspended for a three-year probation period.
Additional measures and obligations would also be imposed on Adrian W. These include an absolute five-year ban on contacting the victims, an obligation to apologize to the women in writing, and payment of court costs and the required fee.
The final decision, however, rests with the court. The District Court in Bolesławiec, which has jurisdiction because the accused lives there, will decide whether to accept the prosecutor’s motion and issue a judgment without holding a hearing.
He had been convicted before
According to the prosecutor’s office, Adrian W. is an unmarried man without children, has secondary technical education and supports himself through odd jobs in construction.
The man had been convicted before. As reported, he had previously been held responsible, among other things, for defamation, violating court bans and criminal threats. He had previously been sentenced to a restriction of liberty.
The District Court in Bolesławiec will decide whether the proposed sentence is accepted.
Not the only proceeding
The District Prosecutor’s Office in Bolesławiec also conducted a similar proceeding concerning the stalking of additional women. In May, it filed an indictment against the suspect.
