A serious fire broke out on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at a facility in the industrial zone in Gromadka Municipality. The fire posed such a significant threat that numerous firefighting units from several counties were dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters from the State Fire Service and Volunteer Fire Brigades took part in the operation. Units from Bolesławiec, Legnica, Złotoryja and Wrocław counties were dispatched.
A total of 28 firefighting units and 94 rescuers took part in the operation.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
Firefighters carried out firefighting operations aimed primarily at containing the blaze and preventing it from spreading further. Thanks to the efficiently conducted operation, the fire was prevented from spreading over a larger area or to neighboring buildings.
In addition to the firefighters, representatives of Gromadka Municipality, the production facility and the Police were also present at the scene. The Police are determining the causes and circumstances of the incident.
The District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Bolesławiec emphasizes that the scale of the operation was considerable. The deployment of significant forces and resources made it possible to effectively limit the threat and protect neighboring buildings.
